Penélope Sierra, nace en Málaga, en Noviembre de 1970, hija del músico Jose Sierra, fundador del mítico grupo “Los Gritos” que pasó a la fama al ganar el Festival de Benidorm junto con Julio Iglesias en el año 1969, hermana de otro músico, Oliver Sierra, guitarista y bajo de Chambao y actualmente de Raimundo Amador. Penélope  empieza sus estudios de fotografía a los 19 años junto al maestro malagueño ya desaparecido Jesús Jaime Mota. Abandona la fotografía por motivos personales tres años más tarde, y durante un largo periodo se dedica a la medicina sin perder su hilo conector a la fotografía.

                    En 2009 crea el proyecto “LIVE&MUSIC” donde empieza a fotografiar músicos en directo y se especializa en un Backstage íntimo, con una perspectiva muy humana que hace de su obra su sello de identidad.

                   En 2010 colabora en México con Didier Dorval en trabajos que le llevan a conocer todas las influencias más humanistas de la fotografía.

La belleza ha predominado en toda su obra, influencia que absorbe de su padre, el músico malagueño Pepín Sierra, cuyo legado ha dejado una huella intensa en la forma de mirar y sentir de la fotografía de Penélope Sierra.

El proyecto LIVE&MUSIC totalmente altruista empieza con Chambao, elección que hace por su amor por Málaga. Más tarde llegan Paco de Lucía, Pasión Vega, Alejandro Fernández, Fito Páez, Luz Casal, Lila Downs, Pastora Soler, Vanesa Martín, Ana Torroja, María Dolores Pradera, Mario Díaz, Pablo López, entre otros.

En Julio de 2011 comienza a trabajar como Biógrafa gráfica del cantante colombiano Juanes en su gira P.A.R.C.E y emprenden juntos un proyecto muy íntimo con el que dan vida al primer libro fotográfico de Penélope y Biográfico para Juanes, “Persiguiendo el Sol”. Ha seguido como fotógrafa personal del cantante en la Gira “LOUD & Unplugged” que le ha llevado a recorrer países como Colombia, Canadá, España y Estados Unidos para fotografiar los momentos más especiales e íntimos de una gira. Actualmente vive en La Toscana, desde donde viaja a cada uno de sus compromisos laborales.

Penélope Sierra ha sido invitada como  fotógrafa oficial de los Premios Ondas en su 60 aniversario, donde ha fotografiado a Iñaki Gabilondo, Luis del Olmo, Julia Otero, María Escario, Eva González, Michelle Jenner, Gloria Estefan, Miguel Poveda, Rozalén, entre otros.

Penelope Sierra was born in Malaga in November 1970, daughter of the musician Jose Sierra, founder of the mythical band 'Los Gritos' who became famous after winning the Benidorm Music Festival with Julio Iglesias in 1969. She is the sister of Oliver Sierra, bass guitarist of Chambao, he actually plays for Raimundo Amador. Penelope started studying photography aged 19 with the celebrated photographer Jesus Jaime Mota who is now sadly deceased.

She left photography for personal reasons and now, three years later, after  working in the medical sector without ever losing her love of the photographic.

In 2009 she created the "LIVE&MUSIC" project where she photographed live musicians, specializing in intimate backstage photographs with a very human perspective which makes her work its identity.

In 2010 she co-worked in Mexico with Didier Dorval,  work  that made  her to understand all the humanist influences of photography.

Beauty has prevailed in her work, influenced by her father, the musician from malaga Pepín Sierra whose legacy leaves an intense impression on the way that she feels and looks at Penelope Sierra her photography.

The "LIVE AND MUSIC" project is a totally altruist project, starting with Chambao, an election that she makes for her love of Malaga. Arrive after

In July 2011 she started to work as a graphic biographer for the Colombian singer Juanes on his P.A.R.C.E tour and together they undertake a very intimate project that give life to Penelope's  first photographic book  and to Juane's first Biography, 'Persiguiendo el Sol'. She has carried on as  the personal photographer to the singer on his "LOUD & Unplugged" tour, where she has visited many countries (Colombia, Canda, Spain and the USA),  where she has photographed many special moments of the tour. At the moment she lives in Tuscany, Italy, from where she travels to each  of her work commitments.
